| 7-29-2010 | Survey results came back and we are good to go. We will be trying to setup closing for sometime next week. More pictures and information later! | |
| 7-19-2010 | Survey today when very well. A few very minor problems were discovered, so if the oil analysis comes back good, we have bought a boat. We will be leaving for Indiana tomorrow and hope to be back to the Wallace Jct resort on Wednesday, if they are not booked. Mgr Rob Haltom said that since my last advertisement (below comment) they have been extremely busy. | |
| Last Friday we went to the Varmouth, Maine Clam Festival (did not take pictures) and had a good time and had great clam strips and clam chowder. | ||

Last Sunday we took a boat ride out to Monhegan Island. It was a 1 1/2 hour ride each way. What a beautiful place | |
| We saw a few seals when we rode around the island. Someone spotted a whale spouting water, but Joyce and I didn't see it. |

We did take a hike for about an hour and a half. Maine seems to be made of trees and huge rocks/boulders. It is beautiful, but I don't understand how anything can grow in this rocky area. | |

We had to turn around here. "Mountain climber" Joyce said it was a little too steep to continue on the trail. I agreed. This place had broken bones written all over it. |

Killing time in Maine waiting for boat inspection. We drove out to
one of the millions of bays and coves north of Portland.

I hope we don't have to plow our boat through this water! Looks
kind of rough to us!!

We are now in Portland, Maine and think we have found our boat. Hopefully this is the one (green canvas top boat in background). Waiting for Monday 7-19-2010 when we have boat inspected. If the inspection (i.e. sea trial and survey) show no major problems, we will proceed with setting up the closing. |

We looked at several boats in the Chesapeake Bay area but didn't find
anything that met our criteria. We did find a great B&B to stay -
Wades Point, which is a little north of St. Michaels Maryland.  |
